Highland Railway

Strathcarron is situated near to Lochcarron on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, and is approximately 63 miles from Inverness.

By road, it is approached from the south via 2 possible routes.

Either:- via Inverness using the A9, A832, & A890;

Or:- via Glen Coe and Fort William, passing through Glen Shiel where there are associations with Bonnie Prince Charlie and the '45 (A82, A87, & A890).

By rail, the approach is via the very scenic Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh line, alighting at Strathcarron Station (Blackwood Croft lies on a very quiet side road approximately 1 mile north east of the railway station).
